Most Governments provide
travel concessions for students because they know that
they have no viable source of income so finding cheap
airline student tickets should not be a problem so long
as you locate the specialist travel bucket shops and
flight agents that can provide such a discount. You do
not normally find these discounts in your local travel
agents, these are large chains who do not have the
capability of providing flight discounts to students. If
you are a student and need to travel by air then you
need to look a little further.If you live a major World city then it is possible
that there are specialist flight bucket shops that will
be in a position to provide some type of discount to
students. This is not the case for all of these bucket
shops and they need to be subsidized by the Government
to able to provide the discount. They will not just
offer cheap airline student tickets just because you
provide them with some identification.
They are in the business of making money so it will
only be the ones that the Government has contacted and
have the financial capability to provide the discounts.
These bucket shops will get the money back later from
the Government so they never lose out on the deal. Their
flight commissions are unaffected so everyone is a
winner.
I would contact your College or University campus to
try and gather any information on the specialist flight
centres in your area. Sometimes they are located near to
the Colleges, Universities and Schools and they are
chosen because of they location. One thing is for sure,
if you are a student never pay full price without
looking into the possibility of getting a discount. You
would never get any discount on a flight ticket that is
discounted already. You have to bear in mind that there
may be some terms and conditions applied to this and
there maybe schedules and specific routes and times of
the year where cheap airline student tickets are just
not possible.
