There are lots of tips and tricks I can give you that
will enable you to get last minute flight savings. I
have been traveling for around 20-years and it is just
experience that allows you to know where to locate the
special flight deals. Many passengers think that the
only way to save money on flights is to book early. As
soon as the flights come out for that particular season
then you have to book immediately. This is not the case.
You have to consider the facts at hand. Firstly they
airlines do give three types of flight discounts on all
routes when the flights first come onto the market. They
have to do this to ensure that the flight is near full
on departure. But what do you do when you want a last
minute flight saving?
Well the first thing to do is do not panic. The last
thing the airline wants is to depart with any empty
seats. There is no money for the airlines taking off
with a less than full capacity. The airlines are a
business and this business is owned by shareholders and
these people want to see a profit at the end of the
financial year. Can you imagine what they would think if
the flights were taking off less than full?
So back to last minute flight savings. If you have
little time to spare and you need to travel on such
short notice then I would call around all the airline
bucket shops to see if they can offer you a late flight
deal. Many of the top bucket shops will be able to offer
you this because they move thousands of flight tickets
every single day.
If this option fails then I would go straight to the
airlines to see if they can offer you a last minute
flight saving. Now they don't want to the travel world
to know that they do this because it will mean everyone
will wait until the last minute to book flights. So they
may first say no, but if you remind them that there is
no profit in an empty seat then maybe this will be all
it takes to get that last minute flight saving.
