You can now get cheap flights to Sydney because of the
travel boom Australia has been having for the last
15-years. There are more flight schedules and more
airlines operating routes into Sydney Airport. You can
choose from British Airways, Thai Airways, Cathay
Pacific, Malaysian Airlines, African Airways, Virgin
Atlantic, Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand and of
course a full flight schedule of Quantas flights from
all over the World
.
More flights means more opportunities to get cheaper
airfare but there is one golden rule will instantly give
you a better chance of getting cheaper flights to
Sydney, and that is flexibility. There is no real
advantage in having set travel plans. You want to fly to
Sydney on a specific day and depart and arrive at a
specific time with a specific airline. When you do this
you are instantly killing off any chance you had of
cheap airline tickets to Sydney.
Many people hate inconvenience and they will gladly
pay a little extra just so they can fly with a certain
airline that will arrive in the afternoon. They will
avoid the very early departure flights because they do
not want to get out of bed at 4:00 in the morning and
drive to the airport so they ensure they are at the
check-in at least 2-hours before the flight departs.
This is highly inconvenient. You will also find that
many passengers will not like to arrive in Sydney late
in the evening because they know by the time they have
collected their baggage and found some transport to take
them to their hotel or home it is going to be in the
early hours of the morning.
If all this also sounds inconvenient to you then
that's a shame because you will find that you have a
better chance of getting cheap flights to Sydney on the
schedules that depart early and arrive late. You will
also find that not many passengers like the red-eye
flights that travel through the night. There is only one
place they can sleep soundly and that is in their own
bed, not on a flight seat at 30,000 feet. Even people
sat in first class are having trouble sleeping so what
chance do you have in economy? So you will also find
that the red-eye flights are also a good source of
cheaper flight seats.
For me, there is nothing worse than being sat next to
someone on the same flight who has paid substantially
less. We are sat next to each other on the same flight
and each have the same level of comfort but one if us is
paying the standard fare to Sydney and the other has
been able to purchase a cheap flight to Sydney just
because they did a little research into locating cheaper
tickets.
